You may transfer many courses from other institutions for your degree program at the University of Kansas.

Use CredTran as a guide for transferring classes from a current or former school to KU.

Please keep the following in mind:

• Courses not listed in CredTran may still be eligible for transfer upon review.
• Courses listed in CredTran are not guaranteed to transfer, and even if a course will transfer, it does not necessarily mean it will fulfill a requirement at KU.
• Before a final determination can be made, official transcripts must be submitted to KU.

For Students Currently at a College in Kansas

More than three dozen courses offered by Kansas community colleges are guaranteed to transfer to the University of Kansas. Visit the Kansas Board of Regents Transfer & Articulation website for details on these courses, or to see the full list of courses approved for guaranteed transfer among all Kansas public postsecondary institutions.

Additionally, students transferring to the University of Kansas or another Kansas public university from a Kansas public community college or technical college, or vice versa, are eligible for reverse transfer.

The Transfer Kansas portal houses all Systemwide Transfer courses approved by the Kansas Board of Regents, for which faculty develop and update learning outcomes. Systemwide Transfer courses transfer to any Kansas public institution offering an equivalent course. The decision of lower division courses to count toward upper division credit hours is at the discretion of the receiving institution. See more information.
