Clinical Training
Clinical training in global health can improves skills, support patient-centered care and prepare clinicians to more effectively respond to public health emergencies that affect communities across the United States.
Several opportunities exist for medical and nursing students to engage in global health rotations as part of their training. Throughout international rotations, faculty and learners are supported by the Office of International Programs.

Community Health
Working with immigrant and refugee populations give clinicians the experience of working with a range of cultures without traveling abroad. KU Medical Center’s student-run clinics provide important opportunities for students to engage with underserved populations, gain valuable cultural competencies and get experience in hands-on compassionate care under the guidance of experienced clinicians.
