Clinical Assistant Professor, Hospital Medicine

Professional Background

I began my journey in the United States in 2014 as a 17-year-old international student with no local support system and significant barriers to pursuing medicine. Despite being advised that medical school was unlikely, I persevered through rigorous coursework, research, teaching assistant roles, and extensive community service.

After three years of focused effort, I entered medical school at age 20 against all ods, where I developed a strong affinity for internal medicine during my clinical training.

Throughout internal medicine training and my current faculty role, I have been deeply engaged in managing complex medical conditions in multi-comorbidity patients requiring nuanced clinical judgment. I am drawn to the acuity, breadth, and rapidly evolving nature of medicine, as well as its balance of longitudinal care, and evidence-based practice.

My academic interests include clinical teaching, mentorship. I value teamwork, compassionate communication with patients and families, and continuous growth as a clinician-educator dedicated to advancing my practice. Currently, I work as an internal medicine physician and clinical assistant professor at an academic teaching hospital with a strong commitment to patient care, education.
