Professional Background
Dr. Stephanie Elberts is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at The University of Kansas Health System. Dr. Elberts graduated from A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2020. She completed residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program between 2020 and 2023. Following residency graduation, Dr. Elberts served as a chief resident for the University of Kansas Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program from 2023 to 2024. Dr. Elberts currently works as a hospitalist within the Department of Internal Medicine and the Division of Hospital Medicine.
As a hospitalist, she specializes in the comprehensive care of hospitalized patients, coordinating treatment plans, and ensuring continuity of care from admission to discharge. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she serves as a preceptor for fourth-year medical students, providing guidance in clinical decision-making and helping them develop the skills necessary for effective patient care.
