Our goal is to provide broad exposure and up-to-date training in the various disciplines of diagnostic radiology so that our board-certified graduates are well prepared to directly enter a general radiology practice or to pursue a fellowship of their choice. Our residents obtain extensive hands-on experience in all core radiology disciplines, attend daily structured case-based conferences and lectures, and receive continual one-on-one teaching from the radiology staff. The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita has been approved for the Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology program by the ACGME.

Affiliated with the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, the program is based at Wesley Medical Center, a 650-bed, tertiary care, level 1 trauma center in Wichita, Kansas. Additional rotations are completed at Cypress Women's Imaging Center and the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center. We believe our program provides a robust learning environment for radiology residents. We have an excellent track record of passing the American Board of Radiology board examinations. Our graduates demonstrate sufficient competence to enter fellowship programs or directly enter private practice without any direct supervision. All of our residents have pursued fellowships in recent years, including vascular/interventional radiology, neuroradiology, body imaging, chest radiology, nuclear medicine, pediatric radiology, musculoskeletal and women's imaging.
