Training Opportunities
Training of the next generation of scientists is a critical component of any research program. Postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and research technicians are not only the essence of our workforce, they are also our replacements. Our faculty maintain an open-door policy with our trainees; we have daily interactions to provide guidance and feedback to ensure both productivity and effective training. Beyond completion of research objectives, our trainees are encouraged to attend seminars and conferences, write grants and learn new techniques to advance their careers. The primary goal of a mentor is to shepherd trainees to the next step in their voyage; we take that role seriously.
We are committed to providing research training for undergraduate students, graduate and medical students, residents, fellows and post-doctoral scholars. Please get in touch if you have questions, geid@kumc.edu.
