Richard Tsai

Professional Background

Dr. Richard Tsai is an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center and a member of the Body Imaging Division. Dr. Tsai received his medical degree at Saint Louis University and completed his radiology residency and Abdominal Imaging Fellowship at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University in St. Louis, School of Medicine.
His clinical interests include oncologic and post-surgical imaging. Dr. Tsai is involved at the national level, including poster presentations, oral presentations, and functioning as a moderator for scientific exhibits at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR), and American Society of Emergency Radiology (ASER).

Research

Overview

Dr. Tsai’s research interests encompass both acute and oncologic processes in the thorax and abdomen,but are particularly concerned with improving radiologist accuracy and confidence in diagnoses. He is also interested in resident and medical student education.
