Professional Background
I am a medical oncologist who is focused on head and neck and thoracic oncology. I am also the director of the hematology-oncology fellowship and chair of the head and neck disease working group. The area of research is clinical research in head and neck / thoracic oncology. I have worked in small community as general hematology oncology and with NCI comprehensive cancer center, KU Cancer center since 2008 focused on head and neck and thoracic oncology.
In addition to clinical care, clinical research, I am also interested in graduate medical education. I am the director of fellowship working to expand training in cancer care for future academic physician as well as clinicians for community around Kansas City and rural Kansas. Recent addition of community track in the fellowship program is expected to increase hematology oncology physician in local community.

Research
Overview
I am actively working as head and neck cancer disease working group chair. Several clinical trials are open in the head and neck cancer area including new innovative cell therapy, immune therapy other new novel drugs trials in head and neck cancers. I am interested to work on innovative trials immune altering clinical research. I am open to any collaboration with any translational researcher and industry for such innovative clinical research.
