Maya Alexander, PsyD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine - Ambulatory General Medicine and a provider on the Integrated Behavioral Health service. The Integrated Behavioral Health Section of Primary Care in the Department of Internal Medicine (IBH) strives to provide the highest quality patient-centered care by recognizing that both medical and behavioral health factors are important parts of a person’s overall health. Medical and behavioral health clinicians work together as a team to address a patient’s concerns. The advantage is better coordination and communication, while working toward one set of overall health goals.
