Professional Background
Dr. Whitney has been a psychiatric mental health nurse for 39 years and in advanced practice for 20 years. She has practiced across the continuum of care including outpatient, residential, urgent, and acute psychiatric care. She has seven years of experience in providing telehealth services to rural Kansas communities. Lucinda has provided psychotherapy, medication management, and clinical consultation for patients across the lifespan with an emphasis on children, adolescents, and their families. She has additional training in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
Dr. Whitney is a Clinical Assistant Professor and PMHNP Program Coordinator.
