Professional Background

Dr. Sale completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina and his residency the University of Kansas Medial Center. He is board certified in Otolaryngology and Clinical Informatics. Dr. Sale is also a certified Fellow of the American Board of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA). Dr. Sale is a comprehensive otolaryngologist with clinical focus areas of allergy, sinonasal disease, and vagus nerve stimulator surgery.

During his time at KU Dr. Sale has served as the Department of Otolaryngology Residency Program Director and Vice Chair for Clinical Operations. He currently serves as the University of Kansas Health System Vice President for Ambulatory Services and Chief Medical Information Officer. Dr. Sale is a past president of both the AAOA as well as the Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. He currently serves on the AAOA Board of Directors.
