Professional Background

Dr. Krishna Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center, specializing in Body Imaging. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Missouri- Kansas City (UMKC) after attending the 6 year BA/MD program. This was followed by Diagnostic Radiology residency at UMKC and an Abdominal Imaging fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where he served as chief resident and chief fellow, respectively. He has a strong interest in teaching and resident education. His areas of clinical interest include hepatobiliary diseases (including hepatocellular carcinoma and benign biliary diseases), gastrointestinal tumors, and inflammatory bowel disease, among others.
