Jane T. Broxterman, MD

Professional Background

I am a board-certified general internist practicing in the ambulatory setting at The University of Kansas Health System. I completed my Internal Medicine residency at Indiana University in 2006 and have been a member of the faculty at The University of Kansas School of Medicine since 2007.

My clinical focus is exclusively outpatient care, with prior experience as both a hospitalist and a palliative care consultant within the health system. I am committed to delivering high-value, patient-centered care, with an emphasis on clinical excellence, cost-conscious decision-making, and patient satisfaction. My practice has consistently achieved top-tier patient experience scores, and I am regularly recognized as a “top box” physician. In 2020, I was honored to be ranked the #1 physician across the health system among nearly 1,100 providers.

In addition to my clinical work, I have been actively involved in graduate medical education since 2008, holding multiple leadership roles in residency training. In 2024, I was appointed the founding Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Olathe campus of The University of Kansas Health System. We proudly welcomed our inaugural class of residents in July 2025.
