Professional Background

Dr. Joshua A Broghammer is an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dr. Broghammer earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Iowa. He then completed his urology residency from Wayne State University at the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Kansas, he completed a fellowship in trauma and genitourinary reconstructive surgery at the University of Washington’s Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.

Research

Overview

As a founding member of the Trauma and Urologic Reconstructive Network (TURNS), Dr. Broghammer is participating in cutting edge, collaborative research with multiple hospitals across the country to help improve patient care through outcomes based research.

His research work focuses on urethral stricture disease, male urinary incontinence, reconstructive urology, Peyronie's disease, erectile dysfunction, and urologic trauma.
