Jiayi Liu, PhD

Professional Background

Jiayi received her Bachelor of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and her Master of Science in Medical Physics from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her Medical Physics Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in 2026, where she served as Chief Medical Physics Resident.
Her research interests include proton therapy, FLASH radiotherapy dosimetry, Monte Carlo simulation, treatment planning optimization, and the development of computational tools to improve radiation therapy planning and delivery.
