Dr. Fernando Mujica is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Mujica received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and proceeded to complete a categorical internship, residency in anesthesiology, and fellowship in adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is currently a diplomat of the American Board of Echocardiography. Along with being board certified for Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) he also maintains a certification of Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology through the ABA.

Dr. Mujica’s research interests have included blood pressure variability and its relation to surgical outcomes, thoracic surgery and pain control, as well as having presented and published medical cases that have been performed in the cardiothoracic surgical sub-specialty.
