Frederico Villa-Chan, MD

Professional Background

Dr Villa-Chan earned his medical degree in Brazil, completing six years of medical training between 2011 and 2018. During his studies, he was selected for a federally funded scholarship through the Sciences Without Borders program, spending a year at the University of Toronto, Canada, in 2014. He subsequently pursued residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center, graduating in 2023. He currently practices as a nocturnist hospitalist, a role he has held since completing residency, and has developed a particular interest in graduate medical education, working to expand educational opportunities and strengthen curriculum development for residents during night float rotations.
