Professional Background

Dr. Bayat earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. He received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University in 2020. He then completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colorado, while earning a CAMPEP-accredited Certificate in Medical Physics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Bayat completed his residency in Radiation Physics at the Taussig Cancer Center, Cleveland Clinic, in 2026.
Dr. Bayat's research focuses on improving cone-beam CT (CBCT) image quality through both hardware- and software-based approaches, with the goal of advancing image-guided radiation therapy.
