Professional Background

Dr. Evelyn Qin is Medical Director of Oncology Rehabilitation at the University of Kansas, where she contributes to cutting-edge cancer care. She completed her undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis before earning her medical degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and her Master of Public Health at the University of Iowa College of Public Health. She completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Washington, where she served as chief resident. This was followed by a fellowship in cancer rehabilitation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her clinical and academic interests include the neurologic and musculoskeletal sequela of cancers and their treatments, and how that impacts individuals' function. She believes there are many side effects of cancers and cancer treatments, and patients deserve rehabilitation care to help with their strength, mobility, and daily functioning as part of their comprehensive cancer care.
