Dr. Phillips has been a faculty member at the University of Kansas School of Nursing since 2008. She teaches primarily in the traditional undergraduate program. Dr. Phillips' clinical practice interests include medical-surgical nursing in the acute care setting and primary care in the outpatient setting. From 2001-2013 she practiced as a RN at Liberty Hospital. From 2009-2015 she practiced as a FNP at Silver City Health Center (now Vibrant Health). From 2018-2024, she practiced as a Faculty Consultant with Advanced Learning Perspectives, housed within Innovative Partnerships and Practice at the University of Kansas School of Nursing.
