Professional Background

Carli Beyer, D.O., is a clinical assistant professor on the clinical track in the Department of Neurology. She completed her medical degree at Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine and a family medicine residency at Methodist Charlton Medical Center. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Beyer completed a geriatrics fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She serves as a cognitive geriatrician for KU’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.
Dr. Beyer’s clinical interests include geriatric neurology and family medicine.

Overview

Dr. Beyer’s research interests include geriatric neurology. She has presented on the diagnosis and treatment of dementia and transitional care programs after hospital discharges, and has assisted in research on lipid metabolism in aging.
