Dr Balanoff has been excited to participate in the many ongoing national studies that is afforded by being an NCI designated cancer center. These opportunities enhance patient outcomes now and into the future. During her transition into academic medicine, Dr Balanoff obtained a Masters in Health Profession Education. One of the major reasons for pursuing this the acknowledgment of how different learners are today from past learners. Dr Balanoff felt it was incumbent to understand the learners needs and methods. She looks forward to applying the new gained knowledge for programmatic and curriculum development.
