cclaro2@kumc.eduProfessional Background
I grew up in the Kansas City metro area and went to The University of Kansas for undergraduate where I obtained my Human Biology - Bachelor of Arts (BA), and then afterwards The University of Kansas School of Medicine where I obtained my Doctor of Medicine (MD). While receiving training I worked a certified nurse aide (CNA) and then a certified medication assistant (CMA). During medical school I discovered that I love the pediatric population and parent/patient education along with preventative medicine and so then continued my training at Children's Mercy Hospital Pediatric Residency and completed Class of 2026. I am very excited to continue to serve the community and fulfill my passions working as a Nursery Hospitalist at KU main and Olathe campus, I love being a part of the exciting moment of a new life joining the world and their family and helping parents navigate through health education preventative medicine the start of their journey with their new baby. I also love working with learners and supporting them through their education and experiences as well.
