Professional Background
Dr. Bristol Whiles is an Assistant Professor of Urology at the University of Kansas Health System. She completed her medical school as well as urologic surgery residency training at the University of Kansas. She then went on to complete an Endourological Society Fellowship at the University of Florida. Focusing on Minimally Invasive Surgery and Endourology, this prepared Dr. Whiles for specialization and expertise in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), complex stone disease, ureteral obstruction, and robotic surgery for both benign and malignant conditions.
Research
Overview
Her research interests primarily focus on stone disease including evaluation of new technology, artificial intelligence, and BPH. Dr. Whiles has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters. She is also involved in both resident and medical student education and mentorship.
