asinclair@kumc.eduProfessional Background
Aaron Sinclair, MD is originally from Atchison, Kansas. He graduated from Benedictine College (in Atchison) and then the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. In 2007, he completed his family medicine residency at Ascension Via Christi in Wichita and moved back to Atchison where he practiced inpatient medicine and operative obstetrics and provided endoscopic procedures and emergency medicine services. He also cofounded a community health center that later developed into a Federally Qualified Health Center.
In 2012, Dr. Sinclair moved to Wichita and became a faculty member at the Wesley Family Medicine Residency Program, working full time until 2020 and part time until 2022. While part time, he worked intermittently in the emergency department and as a hospitalist. In June 2023, he completed a fellowship at Ascension Via Christi Sports Medicine. In addition to his administrative duties, he provides outpatient, inpatient, endoscopic and sports medicine care to the patients of the Wesley Family Medicine Center.
In 2023, Dr. Sinclair became the program director of Wesley Family Medicine Residency and loves resident education, the learning environment, and the breadth of family medicine. He finds great joy seeing new residents develop into competent third-year residents, becoming professionals who he would trust to care for his family. He looks forward to continuing the fine tradition of residency education at Wesley Family Medicine.
Outside of the office, family and church are Dr. Sinclair's priorities. He has been married for over 25 years and enjoys coaching soccer and basketball for any of his seven children’s teams. When he does manage to find free time, he enjoys watching and playing all kinds of sports; in particular, he roots for KU, the Kansas City Chiefs, and Sporting Kansas City.
