Professional Background

Dr. Adam C. Kahle, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Transplant and HPB Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Kahle was raised on a small family farm in rural Nebraska. He earned his undergraduate degree in exercise science at the University of Nebraska - Kearney, and then his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed general surgery training at the University of Kansas, followed by a fellowship in abdominal transplant and hepatopancreatobiliary surgery at the University of Kansas. Dr. Kahle joined our faculty in 2025. His clinical focus includes liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation, as well as oncologic surgeries of the hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary system. His research interests are in surgical outcomes and medical education.
