Dr. Anna Gorczyca is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She earned her doctorate in epidemiology from Indiana University School of Public Health and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in physical activity and weight management at KUMC. Dr. Gorczyca has expertise and training in chronic disease prevention, obesity-related health disparities and implementation science.

Overview
Dr. Gorczyca's research is dedicated to improving cardiometabolic health and reducing obesity-related disparities by strengthening the implementation of evidence‑based weight management and physical activity interventions in populations underrepresented in clinical research (rural living individuals, adults with mobility disabilities, and women across the lifespan).
