Each year, KU School of Medicine-Wichita hosts a Research Forum for students, residents and faculty, as well as anyone interested in community health and medical research, to present and discuss research projects and facilitate research collaboration. This year’s forum will be hosted on campus.  

35th Annual Research Forum

The 2027 Research Forum, in its 35th year, will be Thursday, April 15, 2027, at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, 1010 N. Kansas, Wichita, KS 67214. The 2027 Research Forum will consist of a keynote speaker, student oral presentations and poster sessions. More details will be announced on this page as they become available.

Winning presentations annouced from the 2026 Research Forum

Following the 34th annual Research Forum on April 23, 2026, the award-winning research presentations were announced. Two student winners were determined by the Wichita Medical Research & Education Foundation, and three resident physician winners were determined by the Research Forum Committee.

Participants in the Research Forum included faculty, fellows, resident physicians, medical students and graduate students from KU School of Medicine-Wichita, along with individuals from KU School of Pharmacy, Ascension Via Christi, Wesley Medical Center, Wichita State University, Wichita North High School, Andover High School and Wichita Collegiate School.
