Favorite Part of JayDoc: I first got involved with JayDoc in KC in undegrad as a volunteer interpreter, and it was a full circle moment when I became an executive director and interpreting director there! I’m honored and excited to be the interpreting director for JayDoc here in my hometown of Wichita to continue improving access to quality healthcare.

Favorite part of JayDoc: My favorite part of JayDoc is serving members of the Wichita community, while also being able to apply what we learn in the classroom to the clinic setting. I have also found working with the other medical volunteers to be invaluable to my own interprofessional development. Working with Jaydoc has truly shown how effective a team of health care professionals can be when we all work together!

What do the JayDoc Community Clinic directors do?

Director of Diabetes Initiative

This person is in charge of the Diabetes Clinic, held on the first Wednesday of each month.

Director of Social Services

This student compiles ongoing lists of social services available to patients, including pharmacy assistance and referrals for more specialized care.

Director of Finance

This person keeps the board updated on the clinic's finances and oversees inflow-outflow of money.

Director of Physician Volunteers

This student coordinates the doctors who volunteer at the clinic each Saturday.

Director of Student Volunteers

This person works with all pre-medical and medical students to organize staffing for every weekend.

MS2 Representatives

These representatives coordinate with the School of Pharmacy for Operation Immunization, organize Health Fair for Point in Time event, and organize an annual fundraiser for the clinic.
