Complete the GNO© Certified Provider Training to disseminate the manualized social skills program in your community!
We are excited to offer the the Girls Night Out (GNO©) Certified Provider Training at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Our next training will be held June 8-10, 2026.

Training activities
- Small group-based instruction, including live in-session practice facilitating activities
- Attend a GNO©-Teen skills group session in our community
- Set goals and begin plans to conduct a GNO© group in your community
Attendees will receive:
- GNO© program manual and training handbook
- Access to all supplemental modules and materials to recruit and train facilitators at your site
- Phone consultation with our team to implement pilot GNO© group at your site
- Certification to disseminate GNO© program (following training requirements)*

GNO-Teen© Certified Provider Training Schedule
Day 1
8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m.
- GNO-Teen© materials and core curriculum, intro to sessions, facilitator roles and responsibilities, coaching and practice activities.
Day 2
8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. (Part One); 5:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. (Part Two)
- Part One: Mock session activities and practice; individualizing goals and GNO supports.
- Break between afternoon and evening (3:15-5:15 PM)
- Part Two: Attend a community-based GNO-Teen© skills group session to observe and practice strategies in person!
Day 3
9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
- Skills group session debrief, Self-care sessions, community partnerships, pulling it all together, and certification next steps.

Completed GNO© Certified Provider Training
- Completed GNO© pilot group, including weekly phone consultations with our team
- Access to GNO©-Teen manual and supplemental materials / training modules.
- Disseminate GNO©-teen skills group and community events as Certified GNO© provider in your community.
- Persons with a degree in the field of psychology, social work, special education, speech & language or a related field, including but not limited to: B.C.B.A., M.S.W., L.C.S.W., S.L.P., Ph.D., Psy.D.
- Professionals with experience implementing behavioral supports and interventions for individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities.
- GNO© program manual and training handbook
- My GNO© Planner (single copy - additional copies for skills group participants purchased through website)
- Access to all supplemental modules and materials to recruit and train facilitators at your site
- Access to video clips depicting key skills and settings
- Templates and examples from our evidence-based curriculum for a 12-week skills group
- Data collection and interpretation strategies to evaluate individual and group outcomes
- Practice implementing strategies and building individualized supports
- Support to conduct GNO© within your community, including weekly phone consultations
- Upon completion of requirements, recognition as Certified GNO© Provider.

PROVIDERS:
- At your site, have completed GNO© Certified Provider Training
- Completed GNO© pilot group, with weekly phone consultations
- Attend all GNO© skills group sessions, including training and supervision of facilitators
FACILITATOR:
- Supervised (within all GNO© sessions) by the lead provider at your site
- Complete facilitator training sessions and/or modules
- Assist GNO© Certified Provider to facilitate GNO© sessions

Training will take place primarily at the Center for Child Health and Development (CCHD) at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Training will include one evening session in the community, the location of which will vary by training date.
Business casual attire is appropriate for onsite training. Casual attire is acceptable for evening sessions in the community.
Yes, we do not coordinate travel plans. The medical center is conveniently located in midtown, near many vibrant neighborhoods with excellent accommodations. Popular areas to stay include Westport, the Crossroads Arts District, the Country Club Plaza, and downtown. Each area boasts great dining, lodging, and shopping. There are many excellent restaurants and shops near the medical center along 39th Street.
