Description:
This study, “Improving Contraceptive Decision Support for Individuals with Chronic Conditions,” evaluates a digital tool that provides personalized birth control education to help patients make informed decisions before clinical visits.

Eligibility:
The study is open to individuals with chronic health conditions who are considering starting, stopping or changing their birth control to prevent pregnancy.

Compensation: Participants may receive up to $100 for completing brief online surveys and an optional virtual interview.

Description: iTREAT is a study evaluating whether asthma symptom monitoring combined with individualized treatment (such as rescue inhaled corticosteroids and/or azithromycin) can reduce flare-ups, hospital visits and missed work or school.

Eligibility: Individuals ages 13–75 with an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) prescription who have had an asthma exacerbation in the past year requiring steroids or hospitalization may qualify.

Compensation: Participants receive $50 for the enrollment visit and $20 for surveys completed every 2 months throughout the study.

Duration: Participation lasts approximately 16 months with ongoing symptom tracking and periodic surveys.

Surveys and Assessments

Description: The Community Health Worker (CHW) Workforce Assessment is a statewide initiative to better understand the CHW workforce across Kansas. The assessment gathers information on workforce experiences, training needs, employment settings, and challenges to help strengthen CHW support, resources, and workforce planning.

Eligibility: Individuals who currently work as a CHW or in a related role (such as a health navigator, promotora de salud, community health representative, etc.) in Kansas may qualify.

Benefits: Information collected through the assessment will help strengthen workforce planning, identify training and professional development needs, improve CHW resources and support, and build stronger statewide CHW networks and partnerships.

Duration: The assessment takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete and consists of a one-time survey.
