Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center to host annual health conference
“Beyond the Diagnosis: Living with MS” is a half-day conference available to those with multiple sclerosis, their care partners and health professionals.
The Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center at KU Medical Center will host a half-day health conference from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6 at Merriam Community Center.
Designed for people with multiple sclerosis or other neurological conditions and their care partners, “Beyond the Diagnosis: Living with MS” will include expert-led sessions and real-life perspectives to help attendees gain a deeper understanding of the physical, emotional and everyday realities of living with multiple sclerosis.
The conference is free for attendees with multiple sclerosis or other neurological conditions and their care partners. Physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other health professionals can earn continuing education credits for attending. The conference fee for health professionals is $60.
The MS Achievement Center, housed within the University of Kansas Center for MS Care, is a community-focused program that provides wellness programs and resources aimed at improving the quality of life for persons with progressed multiple sclerosis.
