The University of Kansas Department of Neurology celebrated this year’s cohort of residents and fellows at an annual graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 6.  

Department faculty and staff, in addition to family and friends of graduates, gathered at the National WWI Museum and Memorial in downtown Kansas City for this year’s celebration. The evening began with a cocktail hour, followed by a formal awards ceremony and concluded with dinner.

• Shafaq Mansoor, M.D., epilepsy 

In addition to the formal recognition of residents and fellows, the department also presented the following awards:

Long Davalos Loo, M.D., received the Fred Sachen Award for Best Clinical Instructor. 

Tiffany Barkley, D.O., received the Distinguished Inpatient Resident Medical Education Award. 

Yun-Xia Wang, M.D., received the Resident Advocacy Award.
