Carol Ulloa receives Outstanding Physician Award from regional epilepsy foundation
The Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri & Kansas recognized Ulloa for her impact on epilepsy treatment, education and research at an April 11 gala.
Carol Ulloa, M.D., clinical professor in the University of Kansas Medical Center's Department of Neurology and an epileptologist at The University of Kansas Health System, received the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri & Kansas’ Outstanding Physician Scholar Legacy Award.
The foundation, which offers advocacy and education to people with epilepsy and their families within the two-state area, announced Ulloa’s recognition at the Going Beyond the Diagnosis Gala on Saturday, April 11, in Kansas City. Ulloa’s award recognizes her lasting impact on epilepsy treatment, education and research.
“I am so honored and humbled to have received this award from the Epilepsy Foundation,” Ulloa said. “It validates that my team and I are doing something right for our community living with epilepsy and their families. I dedicate this award to them.”
