Late Arrival and No-show Policies - Kansas City campus

Late patient policy

  • Patients arriving more than 10 minutes late for a nursing appointment will be required to reschedule, and nursing services, including blood draws and immunization will not be completed at that time.
  • Patients arriving more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled provider appointment will be required to reschedule.

No-show patient policy

  • When a patient does not notify the Student Health Center of a need to cancel or reschedule and does not arrive for an appointment, we call this a no-show. No-shows can cause challenges for the Student Health Center when important time for patients goes unused. A patient who is a no-show will incur a $25 no-show fee.
  • If you know you must miss an appointment, please contact us by noon the day before if you can. If something happens closer to your appointment time, call to let us know. If inclement weather, hospitalization, or another understandable reason prevents you from arriving, we won’t consider your missed visit a no-show.
  • Patients who do not return for their TB Skin Test reading within 48-72 hours will be charged a $25 fee.
